About the BOE
The Glen Rock Board of Education is comprised of a 9-member board of trustees, the chief school administrator and the board secretary/district business administrator.The Board will commence all meetings atá7 p.m.áin the Dr. DarioáValcarceláMedia Center, Glen Rock High School, 400 Hamilton Avenue, for the purposes of recessing to Closed Work Session. The BOE will reconvene atá8 p.m. for the purposes of conducting either a Committee of the Whole work session or a Regular Board Meeting.áMeeting dates for 2017 can be found on the calendar at right or byáclicking here.

Rules for Public Input
Audience members attending Board of Education meetings are permitted to voice their opinions on school-related topics at specified times during the regular meeting. There are two opportunities for public comment during both the Committee of the Whole sessions and Regular Board Meetings. The fifteen-minute period allotted at the beginning of the meeting is for audience comments onáagenda items only. The floor will be open again at the end of the meeting for audience input on any topic concerning the schools.
When addressing the Board of Education, please follow these procedures:
  • After being officially recognized by the Board President, state your name and address.
  • You may speak for up to two minutes. If speaking at the beginning of the meeting, you must limit your comments to an item on the agenda for that meeting. If speaking at the end of the meeting, you may speak on any topic. The Board of Education may extend the time allowed for public comment at its discretion.
  • All comments must be addressed to the Board of Education and not to fellow audience members.

Meeting Change
The Regular Board meeting of the Glen Rock Board of Education originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, 2017 has been changed to Wednesday, December 20, 2017 in the Media Center and will begin at 6:30 PM for the purposes of recessing to Closed Work Session. The Board will return to the Regular Board meeting at 7:00 PM. Click here for formal announcement.

Additional Air Quality Testing & Results
Between June 30 and July 14, 2017, the Board of Education and senior administration arranged for additional indoor air quality testing by the district's environmental consultants, McCabe Environmental. Please click here for a copy of their report, dated Aug. 14, 2017.

2017-18 School Budget Presentation
At the Regular Meeting of the Glen Rock Board of Education on Monday, April 24, Superintendent Dr. Paula Valenti and Business Administrator Michael Rinderknecht presented the final budget for 2017-18. The budget represents a 2.99% General Fund tax levy increase over the current 2016-17 school year, resulting in a 1.58% General Fund/Debt Service tax increase of $168.60 on the average assessed home of $558,279. Final Air Quality Report
